Who We Are

ABOUT US

We created Explosive Hockey Development to provide an alternative hockey program to those currently offered within our community.

Through our high energy programs, we are setting out to provide a further enhanced program for participants to engage in solid foundational training and development  – on and off the ice.

Our performance coach is a fully certified skating instructor specializing in the biomechanics of skating for both overall speed as well as in tight spaces.

Edge work is critical to the development of all players.  We use on ice training tools to provide a comprehensive training program tailored to each group.

COACH JEFF

Jeff McCaughan, lead performance coach for Explosive Hockey Development.

His passion for the sport, coupled with his desire to coach youth hockey provided him the fuel to begin a new program aimed at delivering a world class program that is based on high energy game like situations and scenarios while elevating all elements of the participants skill level.

Jeff believes in value and the ability to produce a positive development experience that will create this value for each player during each program.

Jeff is a certified skating coach and has been formally trained on stride & biomechanics of skating and Power Edge Pro hockey systems.

Our Mission

Guided by certified power skating instructors, we will leverage our strengths and experience in hockey to provide a high energy, customized, and inspired practice plan to produce a positive development experience and will create value for each player during each session.

This will enable us to achieve our objectives of creating a value driven development experience for every participant based on our foundational principles of STRENGTH-POWER-SPEED.

Our Vision

Our Vision is to be the most creative, high energy hockey development program in the lower mainland based on value creation for all participants.
